I love a good Amazon find as much as the next woman—especially when it comes to affordable accessories that show up on my doorstep in two days flat. But lately, I’ve been trying to look beyond Prime Shipping when searching for stylish, budget-friendly jewelry. I’m craving pieces that feel a little more unique, a little less mass-produced, and still don’t cost a fortune.
So when I stumbled on Karine Sultan—a French jewelry designer based in LA who makes absolutely stunning pieces at really reasonable prices, I was delighted. The aesthetic is bold yet wearable, full of modern shapes, sculptural details, and a touch of glamour. Think Robert Lee Morris meets Julie Vos, but at prices that are almost too good to be true.
What I really love, though, is that this isn’t just another faceless brand. Karine started the business in 1986, and in 2015, her eldest daughter Margaux joined her, turning it into a true mother-daughter adventure. They’re a small, family-owned and operated business—and they still run it that way.
Her jewelry ranges from under $30 to just over $100, and the quality far exceeds expectations. Each piece is crafted from lightweight pewter, then plated in 24-karat gold, rose gold, or sterling silver. Everything is hypoallergenic and nickel-free, which I especially appreciate as someone who’s become more sensitive to materials over time.
Now, just to set expectations: this isn’t fine jewelry. If you’re looking for solid gold or sterling silver, you’ll naturally be shopping at a higher price point. Karine Sultan offers elevated costume jewelry—beautifully made, thoughtfully designed, and priced accordingly.
One thing I’ve consistently heard from this community (and completely agree with) is that we’re happy to spend a little more than Amazon prices—but we’re not about to drop hundreds on a trendy necklace we’ll only wear a few times. Karine Sultan hits that sweet spot perfectly: chic, elevated design at a price that still feels practical and you can wear for a good long time.
If you’re building your jewelry collection like I am, or want to add a few statement pieces to your everyday rotation, I highly recommend checking her out. You can learn more about her on her website and also find her designs at Nordstrom and other select retailers, but I’ve rounded up my personal favorites right here.
I ordered the Kyanite Multi Layer Bracelet, one of her higher-priced pieces at $98. I also picked up the Twisted Bow Earrings (available in gold or silver) for just $38—basically Target pricing, but with a far more elevated look—and the Hollow Frame Stud Earrings, a chic everyday option at only $28. The Luminous Pearl Station Necklace is next on my list. It’s priced at $98 and currently sold out in gold, but still available in silver (for now!).
Discovering these kinds of hidden gems—where thoughtful design meets real value—is exactly what I love most. Because looking chic shouldn’t require a luxury label or a sky-high price tag. And what’s better than supporting a small business?
I have a few pairs of Karine Sultan earrings saved on my Nordstrom wish list, and have an older pair of earrings from this brand, that I still enjoy wearing. The styles are modern and chic; I love taking a basic outfit and adding some of her pieces to add the perfect finishing touch!
