Chic and Comfortable: My Thanksgiving Edit
Style that feels festive, not fussy
Thanksgiving dressing has one rule for me: it has to look good and feel good. You’re sitting, standing, cooking, eating, and probably taking a few family photos, so the goal is to feel put together without tugging or adjusting every five minutes.
I also have a strict “no fuss” rule. We can still be festive, but we don’t have to feel restricted. Thanksgiving calls for something softer, more relaxed, and still chic.
Here are a my favorite finds from this season that strike the perfect balance between comfort and polish (there are even more options in my shopMy).
The Delise Maxi Dress from Avara
A reader favorite for good reason. It’s under $100, has an elastic waistband (always a win on Thanksgiving), and the print feels subtly festive without being over the top.
The Gabbie Dress from Avara
This one went straight into my cart, I absolutely LOVE it. It’s a slip dress and sweater combo (two separate pieces sold together) that looks effortlessly pulled together. You can dress it up with boots, heels or keep it cozy with flats.
The Gladiolus Sweater from Paige
This is a splurge, but the fit is absolutely lovely. The soft pink color, delicate sparkle, and slightly puffed shoulder make it perfect for anyone who wants to feel festive without going full sequins. (Also available in grey.)
The High Hopes Pant from AYR
These are ideal Thanksgiving pants. They look like high-end trousers but fit and feel like athleisure. I’m 5’10” and took the medium in the long length—they’re perfection.
The Cotton Velvet Puff-Sleeve Top from Banana Republic
I’d wear this with the AYR pants for an easy, elegant outfit. The color options are rich and wearable all season long, and the velvet texture feels festive without being too much.
The Merlot Embroidered Floral Frankie Sweater from Tuckernuck
The perfect casual but special sweater to wear with jeans this holiday season. The embroidery gives it a cozy, elevated feel, and the merlot color looks beautiful on everyone.
The Bow Point II from Rothy’s
I love a Rothy’s for their comfort and special details. The bow adds just the right amount of charm, and the leopard print works as a neutral—it pulls everything together.
I’ll keep adding more outfit ideas to my shopmy page as I find them. Right now, you can see all my favorites there, including sweaters, tops, and cozy pieces I recommend for the long weekend.
