It’s Pajama Season, and I’m Not Mad About It
On slowing down, cozying up, and investing in the small things that make life better.
❤️ Give this a little heart if you enjoy our roundups! xx
It’s a well-known fact that I love pajamas.
I wear real ones every night, and over the years I’ve built quite the collection. There’s something about putting on a matching set in soft fabric with thoughtful details that instantly makes the night feel calmer and more intentional.
And right now, it’s peak pajama season.
The evenings get darker earlier, the air turns chilly, and I find myself craving small moments that make home feel like a sanctuary. There’s an instinct to slow down this time of year, to cozy up and rest, but most of our schedules are the complete opposite. Between work, school, and everything in between, the pace doesn’t really ease up. Finding simple ways to shift from the chaos of the day into something quieter can make all the difference.
Slipping into a pair of soft, freshly washed pajamas might sound small, but it’s one of those everyday luxuries that makes life better. It’s also an easy way to romanticize an otherwise very unromantic life - a little gesture that makes ordinary evenings feel softer.
So here are a few of my current favorite sets: polished, cozy, and pretty enough that you’ll look forward to changing into them every night, from affordable finds to a few splurges.
Lake Pajamas
The Relax Pants Set from LAKE might be the ultimate cozy-meets-chic set. It’s made from soft French terry modal, so it feels like your favorite sweatshirt but looks much more polished. The raglan crewneck top pairs with cropped, wide-leg pants that have an elastic waistband and grosgrain tie, giving it that effortless, put-together lounge look.
Not only does it make a fantastic under $150 gift, but I love it for those weekends when you’re staying as an overnight guest or sharing a house with another family. We go skiing over MLK weekend (well, my husband takes Vivi skiing and I stay back and read by the fire), and these are what I’ll pack. Perfect for waking up, having coffee, and having no reason to change.
The Relax Pants Set is available in sizes XXS to XXL and several colors, but I went with Oat Heather. It’s soft, flattering, and exactly what you want to wear when you’re not quite ready to face the day.
Soma
If you run warm at night or just hate waking up tangled in heavy fabric, Soma’s Cool Nights collection is for you. The fabric has this silky, almost magical feel that stays cool against your skin without clinging. I love the Cool Nights Printed Pajama Set in Serenity Petals Navy.
I don’t know about you, but I need to be cold to fall asleep, and then I want to warm up under a pile of blankets. So cooling pajamas, a fan, and way too many layers on top is my ideal setup.
The fit is true to size, and the pants come in regular, short, and tall lengths, which is ideal if you usually struggle with inseams. They’re also on sale right now, with the pants at $44.25 (regularly $59) and the matching top at $48.75 (regularly $65). They wash beautifully and hold up well over time.
Printed Pajama Pant | Matching Top
I also picked up Soma’s Embraceable Pajamas in Paint the Town Red for my Christmas pajamas this year, and they’re just as good. The fabric is a little heavier than the Cool Nights version, still soft and drapey but warmer and cozier for winter. They come in the same regular, short, and tall inseams, fit true to size, and are available in several colors if red isn’t your thing. Both the pants and the matching top are currently $44.25 (regularly $59).

ThirdLove
I’ve become a big fan of ThirdLove over the past few years. Almost all of my bras and underwear come from them now, so it made sense to try their pajamas. Their WonderKnit Classic Pajama Set is every bit as soft and comfortable as you’d hope.
It’s priced at $120 and available in sizes XS through 3X, which is wonderful to see. The fit is relaxed but flattering, and the quality is excellent. Honestly, if you’re looking for something to give that feels both practical and special, this would make a perfect gift this holiday season.

Natori
If you like pretty little pajama sets, Natori always has something lovely. I’ll be honest, I only buy them on sale because you can always find them at Nordstrom Rack.
Right now, the Enchant Lace Short Pajama Set in Radiant Orchid is marked down to $79.97 from $250, and it’s such a fun, feminine option.
If you prefer something with a little more coverage, the Empire Waist Knit Chemise in Red is $49.97 from $130. It’s soft, drapey, and flattering without being fussy, the kind of thing that feels nice to slip into at the end of the day.
And if you want something a little more elegant, the Satin Chemise in Impression is beautiful. This is basically what I thought I would sleep in every night as an adult when I was a kid. The color is a deep, moody purple, and the bias cut gives it a lovely drape. It’s currently $49.97 from $160, which is a great deal for something that feels this special.

Nuuds
Nuuds is a new-to-me brand, and I’m really liking it. The brand blurs the line between sleepwear and loungewear in the best way. I’m actually wearing their Pajama Set as I write this, and it’s one of the most comfortable things I own.
The fabric is soft and breathable with just the right amount of stretch. It moves with you and somehow manages to feel cozy without being hot. I’ve washed mine a few times now, and they’ve held up perfectly.
They come in several neutral colors, but the black might be my favorite because it’s simple, elegant, and effortless. The fit runs from XS to XXXL, and at $88, they’re worth every penny for how often you’ll wear them.
Nuuds Pajama Set And - totally off topic - they make a FANTASTIC basic white tee for $58 in sizes XS - XXXL. I took the small.
Quince
If you want something that feels luxurious without the luxury price tag, Quince’s washable silk collection is a great place to start. This cute set is sold separately, so you can mix and match sizes to get your perfect fit.
I love the 100% Washable Silk Pajama Tank and 100% Washable Silk Pajama Shorts together. They’re soft, drapey, and feel much more expensive than they are. The silk is machine washable, which makes them both practical and a little indulgent at the same time. The pieces come in several neutral shades, run XS to XL, and are priced under $100 total for the full set.

Printfresh
And finally, if you’re in the mood for something more fun (and expensive) Printfresh (featured) pajamas are it. They’re colorful, whimsical, and just make you smile the second you put them on.
Longtime readers know I’m not a big print person, but these are incredible. The patterns are so well done, charming without feeling over the top, and the quality matches the personality.
Their Eco Satin Wildest Dreams Set in Champagne & Caviar is an absolute splurge at $198, but it’s so special that it would make an incredibly indulgent gift. The satin fabric has a lovely sheen, the fit is relaxed and easy, and the pattern is pure joy. I have the Champagne & Caviar set and am loving the Cozy Brownstone print for the holidays.
Printfresh pieces are available in sizes XXS through 6X, with tall options, which is wonderful to see.

So whatever your nights look like right now, quiet, chaotic, or somewhere in between, I hope you have something soft and pretty waiting for you at the end of it.
Trying to Sleep Better at 45: Kids, Chaos, and a Fan on High
Things have been a little quiet around here this week. I had every intention of hitting the ground running—last month left me feeling energized and ready to double down on content. But, as life tends to do, it threw a curveball.
