Nordstrom Has Lost Its Sparkle
If Macy's is the new JCPenney, does that make Nordstrom the new Macy's?
I came across a conversation on TikTok the other day:
If Macy's is the new JCPenney, does that make Nordstrom the new Macy's?
Ugh, in my humble yet professional opinion, YES.
A once shining gem in a mall of otherwise subpar retailers, the last great, dependable American department store has lost its sparkle.
Nordstrom was the perfect blend of attainability and aspiration for a long time.
It could be a splurge-worthy treat, or a lifestyle.
Fresh out of college, it was the "one day I'll shop there" store. I would breeze through on my way to see what was on sale at J.Crew, marveling at the perfectly spaced garments on racks.
