1. Moldy Strawberries

I arrived home from a long weekend in Boston late Monday night. Maddie and I were tired; college tours and a weekend-long regatta were fun but draining. When we landed in Philadelphia, we felt we were gone for a month.

I showered off the flight, tucked the kids in, and slipped into my own bed - no better feeling after a few nights in a hotel.

Tuesday morning, Bri had to be in his office, so he was out of the house by the time we got up. The girls and I have a good rhythm on school mornings. No one drags their feet; it's nice.

All was well until I opened the fridge to make lunches and saw nothing but a carton of moldy strawberries staring back at me.
