Great inspiration! Thank you, Megan, for this idea of creating a vision board. I have chosen a word for the year for a number of years now but came into this year struggling with the idea. I didn't "feel" it. What I did feel was that I wanted to invest in my relationship with my husband. We're empty nesters, and after a cross country move in Dec 2023, leaving our grown kids and grandkids behind 😢 and a place we loved living, to move and help care for my elderly mother, I found 2024 to be a real season of grief...for all the beauty and life we left. So, I have felt the need to get out of my rut, and the mundane of just trudging along in married life, and positively shake things up. We're loving the things we've begun to do ... a weekly game night, taking a couple evenings a week to read a book together, watching a show together that we both enjoy, and joining a group of new friends for a Trivia and pizza night once a week. But after spending some quality time with my sister and her family and an overnight with my mom this past weekend, I realized after reading your post this idea has grown beyond my relationship with my husband to relationships I have not had the privilege of just doing daily life with for 35+ years. So this idea to be intentional in my relationship with my husband has expanded and circled back to becoming my word for the year: Invest.

Exceptional - it's also part of the title of the latest book I launch in Oct so it's fitting! Last year because of your prompt I started a vision board (something I have avoided mostly) and loved seeing it each day and in December I crossed off every single goal and that felt amazing so this year I have even bigger plans! Let's do it. Thank you for being the inspiration for so many

Happy New Year! Your life stories have greatly changed my life. Thank you for leading such an inspiring and supportive community, Megan! My word is presence— intentionally present and in the moment for my kids, husband, dog, and myself. Making time each day to slow down, silence tech, stop working, and truly focus on enjoying my family and making memories together. 💖

Happy New Year to all, especially to you Megan! My word for 2025 is JOY - 2024 was rough in many ways, so I want to be very intentional about planning both small and big moments of Joy. I love your tips on staying connected to our vision for the year - thank you for sharing them :)
